Income Reports

Here we are. I never thought we’d be doing income reports of our own. I first saw income reports from bloggers a few years ago and was amazed. Bloggers were making thousands of dollars every month and showing how they do it!

Plain and simple, after reading several reports, we spent the next couple of years using ideas from those reports to reach a level where we are making enough to do income reports of our own!

I don’t know of any other place on the internet where you can see income reports and get ONLY free blogging advice in the same place.

Please know that we do not do these reports to brag about the money we make. Quite the opposite actually. It’s very uncomfortable for us to be so open about what we make. There’s something about income reports that can be incredibly beneficial though. They can be so encouraging (like they were for us) to see other people succeeding doing what you are doing or want to do. They can also be infinitely helpful in learning how other bloggers are making money.

How Income Reports Will Work on This Site

We will break down where our income comes from. We will include notes where applicable. We will include our expenses and will factor those in to our final number. A lot of bloggers who do income reports have a bad habit of saying they made $20,000 last month and then you find out that $11,000 of that was expenses. Well, to that I say- you made $9,000. Not $20,000.

Our income reports include dollars received- not dollars earned during that month. Example- if we earned $5,000 in affiliate money from retail stores, we’re not going to include that in the report for that month. After returns and order cancellations shake out, that number is more likely to be around $4,000. For that reason, we go by money received- not money earned, because it’s not yours until it’s in your bank account.

Each report will start with a blurb about the significant happening for that month on the blog. We’ll talk about any big changes we made with regard to the blog or our strategy and go over the things that worked and didn’t work in the month that was.

The goal with these reports is to motivate you and to show you that this really is possible. You can make a very good living from blogging- and that’s not going to change anytime soon.
